Hit and Run Pedestrian Crash, Lafayette Road, Hampton Falls
On May 17, 2017, at approximately 11:23 pm, New Hampshire State Police, Troop A received a request to assist the Hampton Falls Police Department with a pedestrian Hit and Run.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Seabrook police officer was informed, by a passing motorist, of an, "unconscious male, lying in the street." The Seabrook officer responded to the area of 105 Lafayette Road in Hampton Falls and found a male subject lying on the side of the road with serious injuries. The Seabrook officer noticed the subject's leg had a compound fracture and he had a head injury. The Seabrook officer also noticed debris consistent with a car crash in the area of the injured subject. The Seabrook officer contacted Hampton Falls police, who responded to the scene and requested State Police assistance.
Members of New Hampshire State Police Troop A as well as the New Hampshire State Police Collision Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to investigate the crash.
The victim, David Olds, age 31, of Haverhill, MA, was transported to Portsmouth Hospital with serious injuries.
Assisting the New Hampshire State Police at the scene was the Hampton Falls Fire Department, Hampton Falls Police Department, and the Seabrook Police Department.
