Motor Vehicle Crash, Pudding Hill Road, Madbury

On Sunday May 14, 2017, at approximately 4:53 am, Troopers assigned to the New Hampshire State Police Troop A barracks, Epping, NH responded to a report of a motor vehicle rollover in the area of 43 Pudding Hill Road in the town of Madbury. Upon arrival, Troopers encountered a single vehicle on its roof entangled in electrical wires and a snapped telephone poll hanging across the roadway.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling in a northwesterly direction, lost control and struck the telephone poll. Unit #1, a 1998 Lincoln Continental, being operated by Brendan McKenna, age 20 of Madbury, NH, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. McKenna did not sustain any serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Due to the damaged poll that area of Pudding Hill Road was shut down for over 5 hours, leaving area homes and businesses without power. The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Madbury Fire Department and Eversource Utility Company. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Smitty's Garage of Durham.
