Man Arrested for Using False Documents to Obtain a New Hampshire Driver License

On May 5, 2017, the New Hampshire State Police – Troop G was notified of a suspicious individual attempting to obtain a New Hampshire Driver's License, at the Nashua Division of Motor Vehicles. The Troopers' initial investigation determined that a subject identifying himself as Shtain Gbalanga, age 21, of Barrington, NH, was using fraudulent documents to obtain a New Hampshire Driver's License.

Troopers learned that Mr. Gbalanga claimed to live in Barrington, NH, however was a citizen from the country of France. Agents from the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement were contacted and with their assistance, it was discovered that Mr. Gbalanga was in the country illegally.

Mr. Gbalanga was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, where he is being held on a $5,000.00 cash bail. Mr. Gbalanga is expected to be arraigned on Monday May 8, 2017, at 8:00 in the 9th Circuit Court– District Division – Nashua on Class A Misdemeanor charges of Tampering with Public Records and Unsworn Falsification.
