Reckless Driving Arrest, I-95 Hampton

At approximately 0724 hours on April 9, 2017, Trooper Thomas Lombardi, of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic from the State Police aircraft on I-95 northbound in the Town of Hampton during I-95 Drive to Save Lives campaign. Tr. Lombardi observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and clocked it at 109 MPH in the posted 65MPH speed zone. Tr. Lombardi radioed to Troopers on the ground. The vehicle a 2015 Hyundai Sonata passed by the ground trooper's location. It was subsequently stopped on I-95. The Subject was identified as, Ramone C. Savoury, Age 26, Edgartown, MA.

Sgt. Storm made contact with Savoury. When asked why he was traveling at that speed. Savoury stated that he was a Driver trying to get a client to a location. Sgt. Storm arrested Savoury and charged him with Reckless Driving. Savoury is due to appear in the Seabrook Circuit Court to answer to this charge on June 15, 2017 at 0800.

The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
