Motor Vehicle Collision, Jefferson

On March 13, 2017 at around 8:45a.m., the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F took the report of a tractor-trailer unit that had rolled over at the intersection of Route 115 and Route 2 in the town of Jefferson. Responding Troopers arrived on scene and found a tractor-trailer truck had rolled over and was blocking the westbound lane of Route 2. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 Western Star Tractor Unit, hauling a chip trailer, being operated by Peter Twombly, age 64 of Pittsfield, NH, had been traveling north on Route 115 and was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 2 eastbound when it rolled over, coming to final rest in westbound lane of Route 2. Twombly sustained minor injuries and was transported to Weeks Hospital in Lancaster. There were no other injuries reported and no other vehicles involved in the incident.

Units assisting at the scene, included personnel from the New Hampshire State Police-Troop F, New Hampshire State Police-Troop G, Jefferson Fire Department and Lancaster EMS.
