Arrest for Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Distribute, Greenland

On December 22, 2016 at approximately 1:24 a.m., Trooper Haden Wilber of the State Police Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) stopped a 2014 Toyota Camry for motor vehicle violations traveling northbound on Interstate 95 in the Town of Greenland. The operator of the vehicle was identified as: Freddy Rodriguez, Age: 37, Springfield, MA. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as: Juan Carlos Cosme-Collazzo, Age: 42, Hartford, CT.

Trooper Wilber observed several indicators of criminal activity during the stop and requested consent to search the vehicle. Rodriguez gave consent to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle Trooper Wilber's narcotics detection canine, "Gauge" alerted to illegal drug odor inside the console and dashboard area of the vehicle. A further search revealed 4 packages of Cocaine (approximately 130 grams) hidden inside the console/dashboard area of the vehicle.

Both Rodriguez and Cosme-Collazzo were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Distribute. Both subjects refused bail and are being held at the Rockingham County Jail pending their arraignment in the 10th Circuit-Portsmouth District Court.
