Man Arrested at the Salem DMV for Using False Information to Obtain a Driver's License

On November 16, 2016, at approximately 3:15 p.m., staff at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Salem, alerted members of the New Hampshire State Police – Troop G to the presence of a male subject, who identified himself as Rolando Javier Dominguez Velez, age 28 of Gilmanton, NH, who was attempting to renew his driver's license. It was suspected, that Dominguez Velez had used false information in an attempt to obtain a New Hampshire driver license.

The investigation, conducted by Trooper First Class Richard Dupont and Trooper James O'Leary, found that Dominguez Velez had obtained a New Hampshire Driver License in 2010. Troopers were able to determine that Dominguez Velez had used a stolen identity to obtain his license.

Dominguez Velez was taken into custody without incident and charged with Tampering with Public Records and Unsworn Falsification. He refused bail and was transported to the Rockingham County House of Corrections. On November 17, 2016, Dominguez Velez was arraigned at the 10th Circuit Court – District Division – Salem, where he pleaded not guilty. He is currently being held on $20,000 bail at the Rockingham County House of Corrections while he awaits trial.

The New Hampshire State Police – Troop G was assisted by members of the Salem Police Department, the Gilmanton Police Department, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.
