Arrest for Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Distribute, Resisting Arrest, Disobeying a Police Officer, and Operating After Suspension

On November 11, 2016 at approximately 9:00 PM Trooper First Class Gary Ingham of the State Police Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) stopped a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee for motor vehicle violations on Route 125 at the Market Basket shopping plaza in the Town of Plaistow. The operator of the vehicle was later identified as: Ernesto L. Reyes Age: 25 Lawrence, MA.

Reyes refused to identify himself to Trooper Ingham. Trooper Ingham attempted to place Reyes under arrest for Disobeying a Police Officer at which time a brief struggle ensued as Reyes resisted arrest. Reyes was taken into custody. Subsequently located inside the vehicle were 10 fingers (100 grams) of suspected Heroin, which has an estimated street value of $3,600. Reyes was arraigned by video this morning and he is being held at the Rockingham County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Reyes is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Distribute (Felony B), Resisting Arrest (MISD-A), and Disobeying a Police Officer (MISD-A), Operating After Suspension.
