Wrong Way Driver I-393, West

On 10/30/16 at approximately 2300 hours Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police, Troop D Barracks, responded to a report of a wrong way driver on Interstate 393 in the City of Concord. The reporting callers reported that the suspect was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane.

Trooper Megan Walsh and Trooper Max King along with Chichester PD stopped the vehicle near the I-393 westbound on-ramp and Route 4. The driver was identified as, Karihungu Ntihinyurwa, 36, Concord NH. He was operating a 2005 blue Dodge Caravan.

Karihungu Ntihinyurwa was taken into custody without incident and charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd offense, Reckless Conduct, and Open Container. The results of his breath test indicated he was more than twice the legal limit. Concord PD is currently investigating Karihungu Ntihinyurwa for conduct after an accident that occurred before he drove the wrong way on I-393.

He was released on $4000.00 PR bail pending a court arraignment in the Concord District Court on November 4, 2016.
