picture of commerical truck involved in an accident

A collision involving a commercial truck that was transporting lumber and scaffoldings crashed into the guard rail on I-89 in Grantham at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 18. Both lanes of travel were obstructed by the vehicle, a white Hino flatbed, which became hung-up on top of the guard rail.

The driver was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for treatment of injuries not considered to be life threatening.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The investigation revealed that the driver, 28 year-old Eric Dechellis of Manchester, NH, employed by New England Scaffolding Services of Bow, NH, fell asleep while traveling from Burlington, VT, to Bow.

The roadway was closed and a detour was set-up at exit 13 for over two and a half hours to facilitate the crash investigation, cleanup and vehicle removal.
