On. Sept. 25 at approximately 3:20 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police responded to a motor vehicle crash into the trees to the right of I89 North in Concord, south of exit 2.

The vehicle was located resting against a tree and nearly perpendicular to the ground. Its front end was facing downward and the driver was trapped behind the wheel.

Concord Fire and Rescue personnel cut down trees to gain access to the vehicle and removed a car door to extricate the male driver, 53, of Billerica, MA. He was transported to Concord Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The interstate was reduced to one lane of travel for approximately an hour and a half while emergency services personnel rendered aid and removed the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
