Reckless Driving Arrest, I-93, Bow

At approximately 1045 hours on September 2, 2016 Trooper Tom Lombardi, of the New Hampshire State Police Special Enforcement Unit was monitoring traffic from the State Police aircraft on I-93 northbound in the Town of Bow. Tr. Lombardi observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed and clocked it at 111 MPH in the posted 65 MPH speed zone. Tr. Lombardi radioed to Troopers on the ground as the vehicle exited in Concord. The motorcycle was ultimately stopped in Pembroke on Manchester Street. The operator and vehicle were identified as Paul Holding, age 39, Natick, MA, 2002 Suzuki GSXR600.

Tr. Chris Ball placed Holding under arrest and transported him to Troop-D for processing. Holding is being charged with Reckless Driving and Failure to Display Plates. Holding is due to appear in the Concord District Court to answer to these charges on October 14, 2016 at 0815.

The NH State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors. Its members patrol across the state often utilizing the State Police aircraft during commuter traffic periods and holiday travel times with the goal of keeping New Hampshire's roadways safe for all residents and visitors.
