Arrest for Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy, Fugitive from Justice

On September 1, 2016 at approximately 11:30 AM Trooper Haden Wilber of the State Police Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) stopped a 2016 Dodge Charger for Following Too Closely on Interstate 95 northbound in the Town of Greenland. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Lacie Chapman, age 32, Lewiston, Maine The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Taheen Mungo, age 34, Waterville, Maine.

A record check of Mungo indicated that he had an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation out of the State of New York. Mungo was taken into custody on the arrest warrant. Chapman consented to a search of the vehicle and Trooper Wilber along with his Narcotic Detection dog, Gauge, located approximately 190 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine hidden inside the vehicle. Chapman was arrested for Conspiracy/Possession of a Narcotic Drug with Intent to Distribute. Mungo is being charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and Possession of a Narcotic Drug with Intent to Distribute. Both Chapman and Mungo were arraigned in the 10th Circuit Court on Portsmouth on the above charges this morning. Mungo is being held on $50,000 cash bail and Chapman is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
