Motor Vehicle Collision - Route 12 Fitzwilliam, NH

On August 29, 2016, at approximately 0430 hours, New Hampshire State Police – Troop C responded to a two car collision on Route 12 in Fitzwilliam approximately two miles north of the Massachusetts state line. Route 12 was closed for approximately an hour due to the collision.

It was determined that Brendon Keyser, Plainville, MA, age 24 was traveling northbound on Route 12 when, for unknown reasons, he traveled left of center and collided with Rene Tardif, Fitzwilliam, NH, age 47, who was traveling southbound on Route 12. Tardif attempted to avoid Keyser to no avail and the vehicles collided head-on.

Keyser was entrapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by rescue personnel. As a result of the collision, Keyser and Tardif sustained serious bodily injuries. Keyser was transported by helicopter to U-Mass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester and Tardif was transported by ambulance to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

New Hampshire State Police was assisted by Rindge Police, Winchendon, MA Police and Fitzwilliam Fire and Rescue.
