Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident with a Pedestrian, Interstate 393 West, Concord

On Friday, July 29th, 2016 at approximately 2329 hours, New Hampshire State Police Troop D as well as Concord Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Interstate 393 west near exit 2 in Concord, NH.

The pedestrian who was struck succumbed to his injuries suffered as a result of the crash. He was identified as Taylor Farris, 24, Pembroke, NH.

Preliminary investigation indicates Farris was standing in the right lane of Interstate 393 when he was struck. This particular area of the roadway is not well lit. The vehicle involved was traveling west bound on Interstate 393 in the right lane and struck Farris. The right lane of Interstate 393 was shut down for approximately 2.5 hours.

At this time it appears there are no factors of driver impairment in this crash however all aspects remain under investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to contact Trooper A. Pratt at the New Hampshire State Police – Troop D Barracks at 603-223-3858.
