DWI Checkpoint, Manchester

During the hours of 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 through 3:00 a.m. Saturday July 16, 2016 New Hampshire State Troopers from Troop B in Bedford and officers of the Manchester Police Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on South Willow Street in Manchester.

The checkpoint was authorized by an order of the Hillsborough Superior Court and conducted under guidelines promulgated by the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

A total of 178 vehicles and operators were screened. Five operators were arrested and one operator was cited for operating after suspension:

Wilem Wonsang age 42 of Manchester New Hampshire was arrested for an electronic bench warrant.
Michael Chute age 28 of New Boston New Hampshire was arrested for disobeying a police officer.
Jeanine Georgalas age 44 of Nashua New Hampshire was arrested for DWI.
William Manuel Garcia Nolasco age 24 of Manchester New Hampshire was arrested for operating after suspension subsequent offense.
One juvenile was arrested for possession of a controlled drug.
Peter Bolanowski of Bow New Hampshire was cited for operating after suspension first offense.

State Police Colonel Robert Quinn, Manchester Police Chief Nick Willard, and the officers of their departments consider the detection and apprehension of impaired drivers to be a top priority. They will continue to collaborate and utilize sobriety checkpoints and other means to deter, detect and remove impaired drivers from New Hampshire's roadways.
