Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Serious Bodily Injury, NH Route 106, Loudon

On Sunday June 12, 2016 at approximately 11:08 a.m. (1108 hours) the Loudon Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle crash located in the area of the Cascade Campground on NH Route 106 in the Town of Loudon, New Hampshire which involved a sport utility vehicle and a motorcycle.

Upon arrival the investigation revealed a silver 2014 Kia Sorento being operated by Rita A. Wornham   of Leominster, Massachusetts, age 71 was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto NH Route 106.  Simultaneously a red 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle being operated by Robert Palombo of Freedom, New Hampshire, age 49, carrying a passenger Stacey Light of Freemont, New Hampshire, age 51 was traveling northbound on NH Route 106 approaching the Cascade Campground area.

For unknown reasons at this time the silver 2014 Kia Sorento operated by Rita A. Wornham   cut into the path of the red 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle colliding with it.

Both the operator and passenger of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals were they are still being cared for, while the operator and children in the Kia Sorento did not suffer any injuries.

Assisting on scene were members of the Loudon Police Department, Concord Police Department, and Fire & Rescue Crews.

At this time the crash investigation is being handled by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit) with assistance from the Loudon Police Department. During the evening hours of June 14, 2016 as a result of the life-threatening injuries suffered in this collision Stacey Light gave way to her injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
