On Friday, April 15, 2016 at approximately 8:37 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police-Troop A was notified of a motor vehicle collision on Route 16 Southbound in the area of Exit 15 in Rochester. Troopers along with Fire personnel responded to the scene and found one vehicle, identified as a Subaru Forester, off the west side of the roadway between the mainline and the Exit 15 on ramp. A male subject was found to be out of the vehicle and was determined to be the operator identified as, Lawrence Douglas, age 37, of Rochester, New Hampshire and had sustained life threatening injuries in the collision and was transported by Med-Flight to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Douglas' passenger, identified as, James Gosselin, age 54, of, Rochester, New Hampshire sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead on the scene.
