Single Motor Vehicle Fatal Traffic Collision, F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound Exit 13 Off-Ramp, Bedford

On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at approximately 1645 hours, Troopers from the State Police Troop B Barracks in Bedford, N.H. responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover collision with ejection that had occurred on the F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound exit thirteen off-ramp. Troopers arrived on scene and observed good Samaritans assisting a severely injured adult female and a severely injured adult male. The Bedford Fire Department arrived on scene and began treating the two collision victims.

Two witnesses who observed the accident reported seeing a Chevrolet Avalanche traveling at a high rate of speed and reported the vehicle to be weaving around slower traffic as it proceeded onto the exit thirteen southbound off ramp. The witnesses stated that the vehicle subsequently lost control, driving off the left side of the roadway where it began to roll over, ejecting both vehicle occupants.

Both subjects were transported from the scene to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH where the male victim succumbed to his injuries. He was determined to be the operator of the vehicle involved and identified as John Borrun, Litchfield, NH, age 47.

The female sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was identified as Sarah Deering, Auburn, NH, age 22.

State Police were assisted at the scene by members of the State Police Collision Analysis Unit, the Bedford Fire Department and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

The collision remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Geoffrey Rogan at 603-223-8933.
