Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

On 03/01/16, at approximately 4:12 p.m., Troopers from Troop D and Troop F along with the Lebanon and Enfield Fire Departments, responded to Interstate 89 southbound near exit #16, Enfield, NH for the report of a motor vehicle crash with the vehicle on fire.

The arriving Troopers along with witnesses attempted to reach the driver, but the vehicle was fully engulfed and attempts were unsuccessful. Upon the arrival of the fire departments, the fire was extinguished. Investigation revealed that the lone operator had perished as a result of the crash.

Interstate 89 was shut down for approximately 45 minutes as crews extinguished the fire. Interstate 89 was opened for one lane of travel. No further information is being released pending notification of family members.

At approximately 1930 hours all lanes of Interstate 89 were reopened. Also assisting on scene were the Lebanon and Enfield Police Departments.
