Motor Vehicle Fatality

crash scene photo

On Monday, February 29, 2016 at approximately 10:05 p.m. the Kensington Police Department was notified of a motor vehicle crash in the area of 246 North Haverhill Road which involved fatal injuries. The initial investigation revealed that a black 2001 Toyota 4-Runner was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on North Haverhill Road when it failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway. The Toyota left the roadway striking several trees. This caused the vehicle to roll over several times ejecting all three occupants of the vehicle.

The initial investigation also revealed that two of the occupants sustained life threatening injuries and succumbed to their injuries on scene. The third occupant was transported to Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts with life threatening injuries. At the writing of this Press Release we are still working with the Office of the State Medical Examiner to identify all occupants.

The crash investigation is being handled by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit) with assistance by the Kensington Police Department and New Hampshire State Police Troop A. Assisting on scene were members of the Kensington Police Department, New Hampshire State Police Troop A, and Kensington Fire & Rescue.

At this time it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors; however, all aspects of the crash remain under investigation by the C.A.R. Unit. Anyone that may have further information related to this crash please contact Trooper Thomas Conlon 603-223-8614 or email at
