Reckless Driving Arrest, Vehicle Clocked at 105 MPH

On Friday, February 5, 2016 at approximately 3:10 p.m. the Portsmouth Police Department was notified and responded to a motor vehicle collision located on Lang Road within the City of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

On February 6, 2016, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Trooper Bryan Tracy was monitoring traffic from a crossover on Interstate 93 in Holderness. Trooper Tracy noticed a car traveling southbound at an extremely high rate of speed. Trooper Tracy clocked the vehicle with LIDAR, and discovered that the vehicle was travelling at 105 miles per hour. It took Trooper Tracy approximately three miles to catch up with and stop the vehicle in Ashland. The speed limit in this area is 70 MPH. The driver was identified as;

Tyler Murch, Age 26, Grafton, NH

MURCH was traveling alone in his vehicle, a 2012 VW Golf R. MURCH was arrested, and subsequently ordered to appear before the 2th Circuit-Plymouth District Division Court on March 24, 2016 to answer to the charge of Reckless Operation.
