MEMORIAL PLAQUE
A Memorial Plaque for deceased members of the Division of State Police was established by the New Hampshire State Police Benevolent Association. Appropriations for the
Memorial Plaque were through the Benevolent Association and a generous donation
from Captain James H. Hayes, First Executive Officer. The Memorial Plaque is displayed at State Police Headquarters. The plaque reflects the names of deceased members of the New Hampshire State Police with his or her dates of service. Eligibility of a member’s name to be displayed on a plaque is as follows:
- A member must have twenty years of service with the New Hampshire State Police in order to have his or her name placed on this plaque unless the member died during
service with the New Hampshire State Police, was killed in the line of duty or was
forced to retire early as the result of a duty-related injury.
- A gold star beside a name indicates the individual lost their life in the line of duty;
- C. A silver star indicates the individual died during service with the New Hampshire State Police.
