ICS 100 : Introduction to Incident Command System

Description: ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

ICS 200 : Basic NIMS ICS for Operational First Responders

Description: This course was developed by the U.S. Fire Administration's National Fire Programs Branch, in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Emergency Management Institute, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Nationa Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG). This intermediate-level course is a web-based, self-study, interactive equivalent to NWCG 1-200. This course integrates the National Incident Management System (NIMS) guidelines and meets the NIMS baseline training requirements using an all-hazards, all-agency approach. It is the second in a series of courses designed to meet all-hazards, all-agency NIMS Incident Command System requirements for operational personnel.

ICS 300 : Intermediate All-Hazard NIMS ICS Review for Expanding Incidents

Description: This three-day course is designed for those emergency response personnel who would function in a Command or General Staff position during a large, complex incident or event. Or those personnel who are or would likely be a part of a loacl or regional Incident Management Team during a major incident, whether single agency, multiagency or Unified Command.

ICS 400 : Advanced ICS Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents

Description: This two-day course is designed for those emergency response personnel who would function as part of an Area Command, Emergency Operations Center, or Multiagency Coordination System during a large, complex incident or event. Or those personnel who are or would likely be part of a local or regional Incident Management Team during a major incident, whether single agency, multiagency or Unified Command.

H0376: Incident Command System and Resource Management for the Fire Service

Description: This is a significantly revised two-day program providing students with an understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) and resource managment for the fire service and their application in both emergency and non-emergency situations. This course addresses the need for an ICS, and overview of the structure and flexibility of ICS, an understanding of the command skills necessary to function effectively in an ICS structure, and the need to effectively manage your resources. This course meets the requirements of both ICS100 and ICS 200, and is viewed as equivalent training for most NHFA courses.
