Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator & Related Seminars

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROGRAMS LISTED BELOW:
If there is no "Apply Online" link, please complete and submit a General Admission ApplicationAdobe Acrobat Reader Symbol in order to register for the programs listed below.
Applications and prerequisite certification can be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or email.
Signed & scanned applications can be sent via email to: nhfaadmissions@dos.nh.gov

PAYMENT:
Affiliated applicants: Department sign-off for payment is required in Section 3 of the current General Admission Application, or payment may be made by the individual utilizing the "General Payment Form" on page 2 of the application.
Non-Affiliated: "General Payment Form" on page 2 of the current application must be completed in full at the time of application.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:
Prerequisites MUST be met at the time of application.
All course application windows open at 8:00am.
All course application windows close at 4:00pm, unless otherwise noted.

Fire Investigator
We expect extremely high demand for this course. Only COMPLETE applications to include prerequisite course work, resume, and the letter from the chief will be enrolled into the program. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The letter from your Employer/Department Head MUST include your current fire investigation job responsibilities and approval to participate in this course

Prerequisites:
1. Letter from Employer/Department Head outlining the applicant's current fire investigation job responsibilities and approval to participate in this program
2. Current resume or C.V.
3. Transcript from the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) CFI Trainer.net with the following modules listed, all dated within 1 year of this program:

  • NFPA 1033 and Your Career
  • The Scientific Method for Fire & Explosion Investigation
  • Ethics and the Fire Investigator
  • Practical Application of the Relationship between NFPA 1033 & NFPA 921
