IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROGRAMS LISTED BELOW:

Applications and prerequisite certification can be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or email.

Affiliated applicants: Department sign-off for payment is required in Section 3 of the current General Admission Application, or payment may be made by the individual utilizing the "General Payment Form" on page 2 of the application.
Non-Affiliated: "General Payment Form" on page 2 of the current application must be completed in full at the time of application.

Fire Investigator
We expect extremely high demand for this course. Only COMPLETE applications to include prerequisite course work, resume, and the letter from the chief will be enrolled into the program. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The letter from your Employer/Department Head MUST include your current fire investigation job responsibilities and approval to participate in this course

Prerequisites:
1. Letter from Employer/Department Head outlining the applicant's current fire investigation job responsibilities and approval to participate in this program
2. Current resume or C.V.
3. Transcript from the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) CFI Trainer.net with the following modules listed, all dated within 1 year of this program:

  • NFPA 1033 and Your Career
  • The Scientific Method for Fire & Explosion Investigation
  • Ethics and the Fire Investigator
  • Practical Application of the Relationship between NFPA 1033 & NFPA 921

Hands-On Electrical Fire/Arson Investigation Training Seminar - Public Agency Training Council
Sponsored by: NH Fire Provention Society in coorperation with NH FST& EMS
This training module will provide the fire/arson investigator with practical and technical skills necessary to investigate and determine eletrical origin and cause of a fire. This training module will provide both classroom and hands-on training with practical exercises on how to use electrical testing equipment and conduct a sytematic accurate examination of electrical equipment, appliances, wiring and electrical circuits. Attendees will be provided the necessary knowledge of electricity, the definition of electricity, how it causes fires, and how to testify in court for successfuly prosecution, and/or insurance determination
