Established in 1947, the Board of Fire Control was developed to provide technical expertise and advice to the State Fire Marshal.

Mechanical Safety and Licensing Board
Effective July 1, 2021, the Mechanical Safety and Licensing Board transferred from the Department of Safety to the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC). On July 21, 2021, their physical office location will be at 7 Eagle Square, Concord.

Joint Committee on Code Enforcement
This committee is comprised of members of other representative boards and/or committees involved in enforcing various codes and rules. The committee was established by the legislature in 1999. The chair of the NH Board of Fire Control serves as the committee's chair person.

NH Fire Standards and Training Commission
The NH Division of Fire Standards and Training and Emergency Medical Services is the primary agency that is affiliated with the NH Fire Standards and Training Commission. The Division of Fire Safety holds a seat on the commission and is actively involved in the development of fire prevention and fire investigation curricula. |
NH Swiftwater Rescue Working Group
The NH State Fire Marshal's Office in concert with the NH Fish & Game Department have been working with the NH Swiftwater Rescue Working group to assess and improve the swiftwater rescue capabilities in the state.

Tramway Safety Board
This board was established in 1957 and is responsible for registering and inspecting passenger tramways and investigating accidents and complaints.
