Offshore Renewable Energy Task Force

OSI Deputy Director Joseph Doiron, OSI Energy Advisor Matthew Mailloux, Acting BOEM Director Walter Cruickshank and James F. Bennett, BOEM Renewable Energy Program Manager at the BOEM headquarters.

The BOEM Offshore Renewable Energy Task Force is an intergovernmental effort that brings together expertise from federal, state, and local officials to determine the feasibility of potential lease areas. The Office of Strategic Initiatives serves as the federal liaison for this effort. Based on experience in other states, task forces last approximately two years before reporting their findings.
