Executive Director

Plan New Hampshire seeks an Executive Director who will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the organization in accordance with its vision and mission. The Executive Director provides oversight and overall management, planning, vision and leadership for all aspects for Plan NH including programs, finance, fundraising, membership growth, communications, community relations, and board development. The Executive Director works with the Board and Board Committees to establish vision, policies, strategic focus, priorities, new initiatives, and general scope of programs. The Executive Director is also Program Director for Municipal Technical Assistance Grant (MTAG), funded by New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority (NHHFA), which gives grants to communities that wish to expand housing options through zoning changes.

Regional Planner

The Rockingham Planning Commission (RPC) is seeking a full-time Regional Planner to join its tightly-knit, award-winning team. The RPC region is a vibrant landscape of rural, suburban and urban communities located in southeast New Hampshire just an hour north of Boston, minutes to the New Hampshire beaches, and a short trip to the White Mountains. The Regional Planner will provide services directly to municipalities and land use boards and commissions including application and plan review, ordinance and regulation development, master plan preparation and work with other RPC staff on a variety of land use, transportation, economic development, and environmental projects. With twelve member communities in the NH coastal zone, the Regional Planner may also work collaboratively with our federal state and local partners on a variety of Coastal Resilience projects.

Important issues to address include arts and culture, social connectivity, energy use and conservation, water conservation, recycling and waste reduction, transportation choices, building design, and education. The coordinator proposes initiatives or provides the necessary background research on initiatives proposed by other departments while assessing cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and probability of achieving acceptance. Under the general supervision of the Assistant City Manager, the Resiliency Coordinator coordinates different aspects of sustainability and energy efficiency as it relates to the economy, environment, and overall community.

Recording Secretary

The Town of Epsom is seeking to hire a Recording Secretary for the Epsom Planning Board. The Recording Secretary is responsible for attending Planning Board meetings, generally two meetings a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) for
approximately two hours per meeting. The position will require taking minutes, providing a typed draft copy of minutes for Board review, and a final typed set of minutes for public posting, all to be done in accordance with New Hampshire RSA 91-A.

Housing Appeals Board Member - Professional Engineer/Land Surveyor pdf file

The Supreme Court will be accepting applications for a currently vacant position as a member of the Housing Appeals Board established by RSA chapter 679. In accordance with RSA 679:1, the vacant position must be occupied by a professional engineer or land surveyor. The term of the position shall be for the unexpired portion of a four-year term ending on June 30, 2024. Members of the Housing Appeals Board are appointed by the Supreme Court and commissioned by the Governor.

The Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission (SNHPC) is seeking a Data Analyst to complement its professional planning staff. The Data Analyst supports planning activities focused on using technology and data to inform regional and statewide decision-makers. The Data Analyst provides technical expertise to staff, SNHPC Commissioners, agency representatives, and other stakeholders through services such as data collection and analysis, performance measure target setting, database development and management, travel demand model support, and report writing. The individual filling this position not only collaborates with SNHPC staff but also works closely with stakeholders and staff from other planning agencies from the SNHPC region and others across the state, including Regional Planning Commissions, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration, among others.
