Transportation Planner
The North Country Council Regional Planning Commission and Economic Development District is looking to fill the position of Transportation Planner. This position is full-time with benefits. Transportation Planner will work with Council staff, municipalities, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and federal partner agencies on long and short-range regional transportation planning, project development, and special transportation studies. This position requires considerable knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices, state and federal transportation planning regulations, state and federal transportation funding programs, and grant administration and management. In this capacity, the Transportation Planner will coordinate with staff and provide direct support to community leaders and regional partners, including research and data analysis, public engagement, preparation of plans and reports, field work, and other forms of technical assistance. Additional opportunities for work in the areas of community development, transportation planning, environmental quality, and economic development. Within this spectrum of projects, the Planner will have periodic opportunities to focus on efforts and projects for which they have a particular passion or experience.
