Copies of public records are provided free when needed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to determine eligibility for benefits. The State Veterans Council and its veterans service officers shall assist veterans and dependents in obtaining benefits to which entitled under state or federal laws or regulations. (See RSA 115:6, RSA 115:7).
