Grows in wet to well-drained soils.

Uses:

Plant 4' apart for hedges, 10' apart for singular plants.

Wildlife value:

Red berries retained through the winter are eaten by grouse, turkey, deer and numerous songbirds; browsed by deer, rabbit.
