Employees at NH Correctional Facility for Women Recognized with Special Awards
(Goffstown, NH) New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn celebrated National Correctional Employees Appreciation Week with the staff at the New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women. He presented four special medals to employees for their devotion of duty to the public.
Department of Corrections employees are eligible for five different medals for extraordinary achievements. Those include the Medal of Honor, the Life Saving citation bar, the Injury in the Line of Duty citation bar, the Honorable Service citation bar, and the Team Commendation citation bar. Non-unformed employees receive a special Devotion to Duty award. The following employees were recognized during an awards ceremony today.
Corrections Corporal Athena Panas, Corrections Corporal Kristin Potito, and Corrections Officer Aisha DiGregorio received the Department of Corrections Team Commendation citation bar for preventing an inmate from hanging herself in her cell on August 27, 2016. Registered Nurse Chelsea Cahill received a special Non-Uniformed Devotion to Duty award for providing medical care to the inmate.
