Inmate Work Crews Assist City of Concord
(Concord, NH) A work crew of four minimum security inmates went on the road to dig out fire hydrants that were buried following major snowstorms in February 2015. These inmates are from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Transitional Work Center in Concord. The crew, under the supervision of Correctional staff, obtained a list of fire hydrants from the Concord Fire Department and went one by one digging them out. Close to 200 hydrants were cleared out thanks to their efforts.
