Minimum Security Inmate Missing from Concord Halfway House

(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a minimum security inmate is missing from the North End Transitional Housing Unit in Concord. Christopher William Wathen, 29, of no permanent residence, failed to return from work as scheduled.

Inmate Wathen left the facility at 7:00 am on Monday, December 30, 2014 to go to work in Manchester. He was scheduled to return at 8:00 pm. He called the facility and was granted an extension until 11:00 pm. Shortly after 11:00 pm he called and was authorized another extension. At approximately 3:30 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, he called the facility to say he was returning. He never returned. At approximately 7:00 am he was placed on walkaway status.

Inmate Wathen is described as a white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, 205 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is serving a 2 ½ -to 5 year sentence for Robbery from Hillsborough County Superior Court South. He received 209 days of time served credited to his sentence. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on June 11, 2013 and was eligible for parole on May 12, 2015 and will complete his sentence on November 12, 2017.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information on this inmate’s whereabouts should call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 602-271-1801.
