Minimum Security Inmate Missing From Transitional Housing Unit

(Manchester, NH) The NH Department of Corrections announces that a minimum security inmate walked away from Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester.  James Michael Watt, 36, was last seen in the facility at about 7:45 pm on Monday, November 3, 2014.   When Correctional staff tried to see him later he was not in the facility.  He did not have permission to leave the facility at that time. He was placed on walkaway status at approximately 9:15 pm.

Inmate Watt was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court to 1 ½ - 3 years in prison for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.  He began his sentence on June 4, 2013 and will be eligible for parole on November 30, 2014.  His maximum release date is June 2, 2016. 

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating.  Anyone with information on the offender's whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
