Department of Corrections Recognized for Energy Efficiency
(Concord, NH) The Department of Corrections was the recipient of an energy efficiency award presented by the State of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Energy Management, presented Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn and the Department’s Information Technology Team with an “Energy Project of the Month” certificate for September, 2014.
The certificate recognizes the Department’s recent computer upgrade project, which integrated energy efficiency options that are projected to save the Department an average of $12,500 annually in energy costs.
The computer upgrade project replaced and consolidated machines that were ten or more years old. The machines process data more quickly and include built-in mechanisms to keep energy costs at a minimum.
