Parents experience a range of emotions when they become incarcerated. Anger and guilt are two of the most common feelings.
Many times, incarcerated parents want to isolate themselves from the world, this includes from their families and children.
Others, are sober for the first time in years and realize that they have missed seeing and interacting with their children and other loved ones.
In either case, there is a need for supporting incarcerated parents and their children left behind. |
