A Guide To Likenesses Of New Hampshire Officials And Governors On Public Display At The Legislative Office Building And The State House, Concord, New Hampshire, To 1998 recounts in abbreviated form the history of New Hampshire as a part of British North America, and as a part of the United States of America. Future revised editions of this work will keep information updated and current; future publications of other groups of likenesses owned by the State of New Hampshire and on public display are contemplated.
The New Hampshire State House was built in 1819. Though the building has been enlarged since, the core of the building is still in daily use today. The New Hampshire State House is the oldest continually occupied seat of state government in the United States; we hope you enjoy your visit, and this look at our portrait collections.
