Landowner Resources

In New Hampshire, over 120,000 landowners privately own over 75% of our state's forests. These landowners are critical to maintaining a healthy and productive forest. To that end, the division offers numerous resources to assist and educate these landowners. At the top of this list is our partnership with the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension Service. Through their County Forester program, private landowners have access to a wealth of information about their woods.

Whether you own a woodlot that has been in your family for generations, or whether you are a first-time forest landowner, we encourage you to peruse the links below. There, you'll find information ranging from managing your woodlot, how to become a Tree Farmer, where to find a licensed forester, how to protect your property from wildfire, and how to order seedlings from the state forest nursery, to name a few.
