State Arts Council Announces Upcoming Grants Deadline

Concord, NH – June 12, 2007... The State Arts Council announced the upcoming deadline of July 2nd for Artist Entrepreneurial Grants and Mini Grants offered by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. Postmark Deadline: July 2, 2007
(for projects beginning on or after October 1, 2007)

Artist Entrepreneurial Grants - matching grants for professional New Hampshire artists, at any point in their careers, to advance their careers through professional development opportunities, such asmentoring of emerging artists by established artists, attendance at workshops/conferences/artist colonies that will increase their capacity as small businesses. Next quarterly deadline is October 1, 2007.

Mini Grants – matching grants for a variety of small public projects and activities, consultancies, and professional development for arts and educational administrators. Next quarterly deadline is October 1, 2007.

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts is the state arts agency, providing grants and services to help New Hampshire's artists and arts organizations reach the widest possible audiences with their work.

Funding comes from appropriations from the Governor and the New Hampshire State Legislature and from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency supported with appropriations from the President and the United States Congress. The State of New Hampshire also accepts private, tax-deductible donations and bequests that may be designated for the sole purpose of helping the NH State Council on the Arts fulfill its enabling legislation.
