Performance line up announced!
Arts on Stage: A New Hampshire Celebration Capitol Center for the Arts

Concord, NH –    Van McLeod, Commissioner of the State Department of Cultural Resources has announced the line up of talent performing at “Arts on Stage: A New Hampshire Celebration”. The event, which takes place on April 13th at 7:30 pm at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, promises to be unlike any other.

Though the performers come from very different backgrounds and disciplines, they will be collaborating and performing together in unexpected and exciting ways. Richard “Dobbs” Hartshorne, Bassist and Raconteur will play Bach as well as be joined by Soprano Peggo Hortsmann Hodes in a duet. Tap and Percussive dancer, Drika Overton will be stepping to some jazz numbers with David Tonkin and the Musicians of Wall Street and will later join Bob McQuillen and his contra dance band, Old New England in a fabulous new pairing. Humorist and Storyteller Rebecca Rule will be weaving the evening together with many surprises and delights. And that’s just a sampling of what you’ll see that night!

“This group of amazing New Hampshire performers has created a unique and very entertaining show for the event. I have been thrilled by their enthusiasm and creativity and have had the pleasure of witnessing the evolution of their collaborations”, says Van McLeod, Producing Director of the event. He adds, “I can’t wait to see the final product on stage on the 13th. And with an audience full of performers, artists, patrons and members of arts and cultural organizations, we hope the effect is like that of a mirror – we want them to celebrate themselves and one another as a very important and vital part of the arts in New Hampshire.”

Tickets for the event and dessert reception are $20 and can be purchased at the Capitol Center box office at 603.225.1111 or For more information on “Arts on Stage: A New Hampshire Celebration”, please visit
