Allison Hawkins, Grants Coordinator - Arts Education

allison hawkinsAllison joined the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts in 2021 and serves as the Arts Education Grants Program Coordinator.

Allison has worked for over twenty years in arts and non-profit administration, specifically in the areas of visual arts and grant making. She last served as the Administrative Director at the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation in Concord, NH and prior to this as the Grants Program Director at the Joan Mitchell Foundation, an artist-endowed foundation in New York, NY, where she was also active in the National Coalition for Arts Preparedness and Emergency Response. She began her work in the arts administration field at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Grants Office of their Education Department.

Also an artist, Allison received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts and BA in Studio Art and Art History from Kenyon College. She has exhibited both in the US and abroad. Allison grew up in Missouri and Ohio, lived for many years in New York City, and moved to New Hampshire in 2016. She lives with her family in North Hampton, NH.
