Lisa Burk-McCoy, Grants Coordinator - Creative Communities
Lisa is a musician and lifelong arts enthusiast, whose earliest memories are of her father’s art studio in an old clapboard chapel. She compliments her passion for the arts with a deep commitment to community.
Lisa has worked in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors in print marketing production, communications, fundraising and business development. As a nonprofit consultant, she helped organizations strengthen their operational foundations and expand resource capacity. She believes that nonprofits are most effective when they engage across public and private sectors in support of shared community goals; this is what impels the emergence of robust communities. Lisa is excited to continue this work with the NH State Council on the Arts, where she supports nonprofits, artists, community and economic planners and all others who work to enhance New Hampshire’s communities via creative programming and the arts.
Lisa holds an M.S. in Arts Administration from Boston University. She lives in Exeter, and is gratefully devoted to yoga, locally-sourced foods, creative pursuits (wherever she can find them), her dogs and her family . . . although not necessarily in that order.
