Jacqueline Kahle, Vice-Chair, Wilton

jackie kahle Jackie Kahle is the Vice-Chair of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, and has been an Arts Councilor since 2001, having recently been re-nominated by the Governor for another 5-year term. While on the Council, Jackie has focused on the organizational support area and facilitated several grant panels that provided input on changes to guidelines and procedures. She has also been active in local feedback forums designed to give organizations input into the Council’s long-term strategy and has been a judge for the New Hampshire finals of the National Poetry Out Loud recitation contest.

She has served on the Board of Directors of Andy’s Summer Playhouse, the Monadnock Chorus, and the American Red Cross. Her work on the Red Cross African Famine Relief Campaign brought her their annual service award as well as a N.H. Governor’s citation at the State House. An avid singer, she currently performs with both the larger Monadnock Chorus and the smaller Monadnock Chorus Chamber Singers. Jackie also has an active interest in theatre which comes from her husband Michael G. Dell’Orto’s work as an actor.

Professionally she has spent 30 years in marketing and business development positions in a variety of companies in the high technology industry, including Gartner, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq Computer, and Digital Equipment. She is currently a Vice President of Marketing for the services division of CA, Inc.

A native of New Jersey, Jackie and her husband Michael Dell’Orto (an Equity professional actor and stage director) have lived in New Hampshire since 1979, after first spending several years in the Washington, D.C. area. They currently enjoy living in a circa 1770 house in Wilton Center, where they maintain fruit trees, blueberry bushes, and a small herb garden they use to make herbal vinegars. Their daughter, Sarah has recently returned from her graduate studies at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and is now Program Manager at the Battery Dance Company in Manhattan. So, arts are everywhere in this family!

Jackie received an MBA from the Whittemore School, University of N.H. and a BA in Mathematics from New York University. She is also a graduate of the management development program at Smith College.
