The Board will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Mhp 303.01(a), 303.02(d), and 303.02(e) Adobe Acrobaton Friday, October 21, 2016 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. The public hearing will be held at the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification, 121 S. Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301. Public comments may be submitted orally, in writing, or electronically to Robert J. Lamberti, Jr. at [email protected] until October 24, 2016.

The monthly Board Meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 28, 2016. Public session begins at 9:00 AM with non-public session to follow. The meeting will be held at Philbrook Building, 121 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301.


NOTICE – CEU’s in suicide prevention will be required by all licensees renewing a license that expires after January 1, 2017.

Pursuant to RSA 330-A:10, XIV, the Board is required to adopt:  Procedures for assuring the continuing competence of persons licensed under this chapter including, but not limited to, continuing education requirements, provided that at least 3 hours of the required continuing education units for biennial renewal shall be from a nationally recognized, evidence-based or best practices training organization in the area of suicide prevention, intervention, or postvention and how mental illness, substance use disorders, trauma, or interpersonal violence directly impacts risk for suicide.

Mhp 402.01 (d) was adopted by the Board on January 15, 2016 and reads as follows: 

At least 3 of the 40 CEU’s shall be completed in accordance with RSA 330-A:10, XIV and shall be from Category A.


If you are planning to submit a Candidate for Licensure: Supervision Agreement in New Hampshire please be aware that post-master’s supervised work experience and supervision hours will not begin to count towards  licensure for LPP, LICSW, LCMHC and LMFT until the Candidate Agreement is reviewed and approved by the Board.   When completing the start date and proposed completion date on the agreement please give yourself at least six weeks lead time.  The Board sets the final start date on the day the application is approved. 

330-A:22 Candidates for Mental Health Licensure. –

III. Each supervisor's agreement shall be approved by the licensing board before becoming effective, and shall remain in effect only as long as the supervisor accepts responsibility for the candidate.

Mhp 302.01 (c)(9) - Supervisors for candidates for licensure must successfully complete one of the following before they can supervise a Candidate for Licensure: 1) a graduate level course in clinical supervision; 2) a clinical supervision certificate approved by AAPC, NASW, AMHCA or AAMFT or 3) 12 CEU's in clinical supervision. This is a one time requirement. Please submit documentation to the Board of Mental Health Practice, 121 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301 for approval. Candidate Agreements approved by the Board prior to June 18, 2015 will not be effected by the new rule.
