Unmanned Aircraft Systems

2019 Use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems to Increase Safety and Decrease Costs of Transportation Projects and/or Related Tasks
In 2019, a research report on “Use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems to Increase Safety and Decrease Costs of Transportation Projects and/or Related Tasks” was completed. This report was funded in part with a FHWA Statewide Planning and Research grant and includes case studies of possible UAS operations or tasks of work efforts currently undertaken without UAS within various New Hampshire state agencies. Various final deliverable formats were also provided as examples of what can be done once the UAS has collected the data.
