Lane Closures Will Impact Traffic During Overnight Hours

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that on Tuesday evening September 15, 2020 road work will begin on I-293 in the City of Manchester between the Merrimack River Bridge and I-93.

This work is scheduled to be completed between the hours of 8:00 pm and 5:00 am Sunday through Thursday and will require the use of lane closures. Message boards and signs will be used to notify the traveling public. This project is expected to be completed in two weeks; however weather conditions may impact work schedule.

This project involves pavement preservation of three Tier 1 and Tier 2 roadway sections located in NHDOT Maintenance Districts 5 and 6 totaling 5.2 miles in Derry, Hampstead, Manchester, and Salem. The work includes HBP spot inlays, BWC Type C overlay, and fog sealing of shoulders. All work requiring a lane closure shall be completed at night. Motorist should use caution when traveling in construction zones.

Brox Industries, Inc. of Dracut, Massachusetts is the contractor for the $1.7 million project, which has a final completion date of late September 2020.
