Bridge Work on US Route 3 in Plymouth, NH
Work Will Require Lane Closures

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin bridge preservation work on Thursday, September 10, 2020, on the US Route 3/NH Route 25W bridge over NH Route 3A in Plymouth, NH.

During this time, motorists will be restricted to one lane two-way alternating traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals on either side of the bridge on US Route 3/NH Route 25W. Travel lane width will be reduced to fourteen-feet and barrier will also be installed between the work area and traveling public. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, follow signs and signals, and proceed with caution through the work zone.

The scope of the work includes substructure repairs, reconstruction of the deck ends, and expansion joint replacement. Approaches and departures of the bridge to be milled and paved at end of the project once all bridge work is complete.

This work is part of the project that includes the bridge preservation work on the I-93 Southbound and Northbound bridges (mile marker 82.8) over Bog Brook in Campton, NH. Work will be contingent upon weather conditions and current COVID-19 constraints.

R.M. Piper of Plymouth, NH is the prime contractor on this project which is scheduled to be completed in October, 2020.
