Joint Drainage and Water Line Replacement Work in Somersworth, NH
Work will Require Road Closure and Temporary Suspension of City Water Services

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation, in coordination with the City of Somersworth announce that a joint drainage and water line replacement project is scheduled to start on Monday, August 3, 2020. Work will begin at 7:00am on Green Street at the junction of Stackpole Road in Somersworth, NH. At this time, Green Street will be closed to through traffic from the junction of Rollins Road to the junction of Indigo Hill Road.

Additionally, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, in order to complete the water main replacement, city water services will be temporarily suspended to residents along Green Street from Indigo Hill Road South. Stackpole Road will be closed to through traffic from the junction of NH 9 (High Street) to the junction of Green Street in order to complete this phase of the project. Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic around the construction area. Motorists are advised to drive carefully in and around work zones. It is anticipated that the roads will be closed to through traffic for three (3) days.
