Traffic Control Plans for the NASCAR Race On August 2, 2020
Race to be Held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that through the cooperative efforts of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, local officials, New Hampshire State Police and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS), a comprehensive traffic control plan will be implemented on Sunday, August 2, 2020 for the NASCAR Cup Series Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 race. In consideration of COVID-19, and a comprehensive plan approved by Governor Christopher T. Sununu, attendance will be reduced to 18,000 spectators with 7,000 vehicles anticipated. Please note the race starts at 3:00 pm, with the period of maximum traffic congestion occurring in the late afternoon and early evening hours.

Due to the reduced attendance, traffic control measures planned for the August 2nd race have been adjusted accordingly. Please note that traffic control measures will be limited to NH 106 as follows:

  1. On race day morning, NH 106 will be one lane northbound and one lane southbound from I 393 to the intersection of Shaker Road. From this intersection north to the NHMS South Entrance, two lanes northbound and one lane southbound will be provided.
  2. Between 3:30 pm and approximately 10:30 pm, NH 106 will provide one northbound lane and two southbound lanes from I 393 in Concord to NHMS.
