Bridge Work on I-93 in Campton
Work Will Require Lane Closures in Both Directions for Several Months

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will begin bridge preservation work on Friday, May 22, 2020, on the I-93 Southbound and Northbound bridges (mile marker 82.8) over Bog Brook in Campton, NH.

The existing two lanes over each bridge will be reduced one twelve-foot travel lane and a concrete barrier will also be installed between the work area and the traveling public. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, follow signs and proceed with caution through the work zone.

The scope of the work includes deck and abutment repairs, reconstruction of the deck ends, expansion joint replacement, and paving the bridge decks. Approaches and departures of each bridge to be milled and paved at end of the project once all bridge work complete.

This work is part of a project that also includes bridge preservation work on the US Route 3/NH Route 25W bridge over NH Route 3A in Plymouth. Work on this bridge will begin later this summer. All work will be contingent upon weather conditions and current COVID-19 constraints.

R.M. Piper of Plymouth, NH is the prime contractor on this project which is scheduled to be completed in October, 2020.
